Verizon Offers MiFi Portable Hotspot
How Useful Is This?
I'm not sure how useful this really is? It's designed for multiple people to share a connection where there isn't any other available internet connection and/or WiFi.
That pretty much eliminates most hotels, airports, and offices. I suppose it would free up a group of people to work outside without everyone needing their own air cards (construction site?).
I could see possible vacation use as most of the places I've rented don't have an internet connection.

sounds easy to eat up 5GB in a group setting. This must be a retail play for multi-users within a household - even then, I'd buy cable or DSL to share for even less

Go get alltel data cards while you can
I love Verizon but damn they sure like to screw us on anything with data !! I know this is geared for business but why in the heck would you charge that much just to limit the service !! You better go get a alltel data card quick because they offer truely unlimited data and you better sign a contract!!! OR Else be screwed over
