SD slot on diamond?

I thought the diamond had internal memory, but the PRO had the SD slot. Did they add one just to this version?

I was thinking the same thing. The last thing I remembered is that the RAM in Verizo...

engadget is reporting that they did add the SD slot to this version. Although engadg...

Looks nice in pictures, but

I will wait till it's in the stores so I can see it up close and get to play with it. But touch screen phones are just so damn impractical for a number of reasons:

1. You have to hold it with both hands to use it thus making it impractical to use while driving.

2. You have to look at the screen while using it. Not very intuitive.

3. Battery life is reduced by having a screen constantly being backlit while in use.

So I'll see and decide when I play with it.
Smartphones are not generally known for their ease of use while driving or spectacular battery life

Forgive me for being so direct, but do you actually close your eyes or something when you use phones? Most people do look at their screens while usi...

Is it really fast, or are we still dragging along on the MSM 400 MHz system? Need Snapdragon!

smartphones are in different league compared to basic phones. they priority function is a portable computer and just secondary as phone.

Uncrippled GPS or just VZ Nav?

I thought I heard a while back that Verizon was starting to gradually (very, very gradually) uncripple GPS functionality on higher-end handsets, starting with the BlackBerry Storm and moving on to some of the Windows Mobile devices like that blue Samsung QWERTY monstrosity. I don't have much hope for uncrippled GPS on the Touch Diamond since VZW advertises it as "VZ Navigator capable," but does anyone know for sure? My contract ends 4/30/09 and I'll probably jump ship if I can't find something desirable in VZW's PDA lineup with uncrippled GPS, as I'm tired of having no GPS in Canada without carrying along an external GPS puck!

Side by side w/current VZW touch?

Anybody know how they stack up side by side?
If it's anything like the Sprint versions, you will get VGA screen, faster processor, improved touchflo, accelerometer, better camera, and some other little things here and there. I like the MP3 trimmer app for cropping and setting your own custom rin...
