just curious...

With them merging w/ Verizon...why would they be deloying this on there handsets? Seems kind of pointless and also seems like a compnay that is not ready to be married to VZW. Lets hope this is not an early indication of them acting like Nextel was a sub-brand under Sprint...
I dont think they did this out of wanting to merge as much as having the need to merge. The merger will mostly benefit Verizon as from commercial they have already taken and rebranded my circle to my family and friends. Mission accomplished

Perhaps someone will buy the divested markets as a whole and keep the Alltel name?
It's not uncommon that during the early stages of a merger that the acquired company continues to run their business and implement things they've had in the works. In this particular case, they're deploying an app that could save on customer service ...

maybe just maybe its for the 115 markets that are not merging. That is allot of markets. And they have to look goof for possible buyers of those markets!
Nah, I hear Chad already invested in a pair of horn rimmed glasses. 🤣

BAD IDEA

I mean really. it is bad enough to have to deal with customers who change things online...only they never really changed anything. Now it is an app on phones...So your kid wants more minutes...BAM there it is! Unlimited texting.....no biggie.

What headaches this is going to create....
