Apple seems just as CONTROLLING as. . .

N. korea!!! I sure am glad I own the N95, and that Nokia doesn't TELL me what I can & can't have on my handset like Apple does.

There is becoming way, way too much control in technology.

It seems like I'm going to stick with unlocked/unbranded phones for the rest of my days.
Theres ol' Steve Jobs for you. In his youth he was the young stick it to the man (ie IBM) rebel who was all about breaking the rules. These days he's IS the man (dictator) and he's telling you what you can and can't do with something you bought. Hipoc...

I hate Apple. While I understand the concept of monopolization, I find it amusing that one company with a pathetic market share can get away with so many things that are deemed inappropriate for another company with a much higher market share.
