Math seems off here

2TB=2048 GB. That should hold a helluva lot more than 4000 Raw files, or 17,000 "fine-mode" files. I'm thinking well over 100,000 raw should be possible.

Whats Next

Will computer replace hard drives with flash drives? it would be great to be able to have a fast hard drive with raid set up to back up to a flash drive.

Now we can have map programs such as garmin loaded on a memory card instead of downloading on the go with programs such as telenav.

Hard drives are already slowly replaced with SSD's (Solid State Drive). They're currently cap out at 512GB's, and are very, very expensive. But the benefits are of course no moving parts, and much faster.

SSD's are good for laptops & netbooks.

2 TB!?

WOW! I don't even think I've seen a consumer 2 TB HDD, but it's going to be available in SD card format!?
This is almost mind boggling...a 2048 GB SD card!! No need for my external hard drive that I have all my pic and music backed up on. Now I want to know how much they want for one. It would have to be a least $300.
