Extended Battery For Evo

Can anyone recomend extended slim battery for EVO where I dont need to get a new cover for it.

Except the not good battery life phone is great. What else I can do to extend the battery life for it.
Best buy sells an extended battery for $69.99 and it comes with a back that fits, but it makes the phone HUGE

Release date on Icecream sandwich software?

Does anyone know when is the HTC EVO 4g getting the icecream sandwich software? Please let me know. Thanks.
I would assume sometime in 2012 when the other Sprint high end devices receive ICS. NO date has been established so keep that in mind, the EVO 3D, GS2 will get the update first since they are more high end phones, followed by the EVO. Again this is ju...

Issues after Gingerbread update?

The EVO 4G got the Gingerbread update today. Anyone else experiencing the voicemail notification icon that appeared after the update was installed, and now won't go away? I've tried rebooting, turning phone off, removing battery, task killing, and yes....called my voicemail several times to make sure I really didn't have a new voicemail. There doesn't seem to be a way to clear the notification. WTF?! 🤨

EVO or Thunderbolt?

I've finally decided to take a step into the Smart-phone world (ok I should say another step, I've been using the palm centro on the att network for the last 2.5 years 🤭 ) I've been debating Getting an Android phone versus an iPhone (I actually liked the iPhone4 when it came out) but due to customized feel of the Android platform and advice from friends, I know I want an Android phone but am stuck as to which of the 2 top of the line phones. Here's why:

1)Cost is really no issue as my employer will be paying for it, and has told me to get the phone that I think is best.

2) both Verizon and Sprint's network coverage is the same in my area.

I'm placing this post in both forums and will take all info to heart.
Sorry no one has replied to your question in over a month! I'm guessing you've made your decision by now? 🤣

If not, do you know if you have 4G coverage from both carriers in your area as well?

$10 charge please help

Hello, I have an HTC Hero, if I upgrade to an HTC EVO 4G, will I get that $10 monthly charge or am I already paying that for the Hero??
Every smart phone or PDA will have the $10 charge, so yes you will have to pay the $10 dollar fee for an evo. If your asking if there is 2 $10 fees, the answer is no.
You are not paying it currently. You would on the EVO

Sirius App

I cannot get the app to longer work since they added Howard Stern, this is the only phone that the app does not work on. Sprint and Sirius have no help insight. I have seen fixes by changing my MSL# but not sure I want to start messing with my phone and then possibly screw up the phone worse. Does anyone know anything about this? Sprints customer service is probably the worse I have ever dealth with, I was disconnected 3 times the tech support person didnt know what to say or give and answer. What POS ... any help please feel free to comment. EVO was the best phone but at this point it completely sucks and is no better than any other phone out there, also 4G keeps getting pushed back and I continue to pay for something I am not recieving. :...

That's a streaming issue that can be fixed with network tools. There's great tools for Sprint reps to use, the key is knowing where to find them but don't blame Sprint as a whole, I work directly for them and could have this problem fixed in a matter...

Tried the EVO 4G...Switching back to iPhone 4

Well, after whining on here that I could not decide whether to buy the new iPhone 4 and renew my AT&T contract or go to Sprint for the new EVO I took the advice of fellow forum members and purchased an HTC EVO 4G from Sprint. People suggested I buy it and try it for 30 days and return it if I was not happy. If I was happy I could cancel my AT&T contract at that time.

After four days I am going to be returning the EVO 4G on monday and ordering the iPhone 4 on tuesday.

Do not get me wrong, the EVO4G is an amazing phone and my review of it in the EVO review section will be a glowing one. Although I do have a few minor physical build issues with the phone, the problems I have with it are mostly carrier related.

The physical issues I hav...

Your thread is a little misleading considering that the Iphone4 is not even out yet nor can you pre-order until the 15th. So how can you possibly be returning to something you never had? 😕

Ok so I am wanting to know if you can can chat from your phone to a home computer????? I have been looking all through the apps and online and have not found the answer yet can someone help me with this???? Please

Best price- new service. Costco??

Hi...

So, about signing up for new service. Is the price the same where ever you go? It seems like Amazon and or Costco will toss in a few extra goodies like a auto charger or something. But is the monthly price the same no matter where I go? I am in Portland Oregon.

Thanks

jack
Regardless of where you go, your monthly rate plan will be the same. The difference between purchasing the phone at a corporate store, and say a Costco is the price of the phone and special offers.

The EVO, however is usually priced the same every...

The battery life WILL get better with time

As with most, if not all batteries, it needs a break in period, so if you have had the EVO for less than a week, you may think the battery is weak. Give the battery and phone time to acclimate to each other and your usage habits.

My battery lasts over a day with moderate usage. I also do not use any task killers.
Mine is doing much better now as well. It really is shaping up to be the perfect phone...and this is.from a die hard Apple fanboy.

EVO pricing....WTF???

I love sprint, will never leave!

With that said, why the hell do they NOT want people to have their phones? Why is the EVO still $199.99 with MIR? Why is the HTC touch pro 2 not a free phone when it’s now outdated? Why not a BOGO deal for smart phones like other company’s who want their customers to have their coolest phones to show off to their friends??

IT DRIVES ME CRAZY!!!!

Any word on a price drop for corp stores or 3rd party? BOGO? Freakin anything? The phones been out for MONTHS now! My wife and I both want one, sucks to have to pay $300 + tax on 2 phones when every other carrier is doing BOGO's...
The reason is. You save more over the 24 months with the plan. Verizon bates you in to their plans with deals like that. Sprint does not. Sprint would rather save you more over 24 months than rip you off right from the start.
If you are eligible for an upgrade go to RADIOSHACK online and get the evo for 99 bucks for upgrades...in store you must trade your sprint phone in for the 99 bucks special.
