This is great news....

For deployment in 3g markets where folks are rural and the 3G footprint has not made it our your way. Nice.

This is great news for rural areas indeed. Being software based, this would be the most economical way for a provider to upgrade their data network for their customers and I think if they wish to sell data plans anywhere other than big cities they had...

I wonder if this will make your speakers buzz with Twice the static.
Finally, someone else posts about this! I'm not crazy, it is the phone! I thought aliens were trying to communicate with me. ๐Ÿ˜

But on a serious note, the EDGE side make this noise, not the GSM side? I have also heard that with 3G, this noise ...

From the sound of it, the idea behind this is that it is ALREADY deployed. It's a software based upgrade. The benefit...
