i work at at&t and i always thought this was redundant since you have to have the unlimited package anyway. therefore its not really free in a sense. honestly, its not big enough of a difference in speeds to make me even use the wifi at all. maybe if it was a blackberry 8310 with edge than it would be pretty cool but honestly whether im in a wifi spot or in my 3G service area i still get internet at significant speed.

what they need to do is offer free wifi to anyone with a at&t laptop card. Shocked
They do offer free wifi with the laptop data plans.

The $60 5Gb includes unlimited wifi at the 17000+ hotspots.

i wonder when verizon will offer somenthing free??

well when you see verizon offer wifi in blackberrys that be the day the bin laden will be playing with the yankees Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing one MOR Laughing
No CDMA have wifi, only GSM because the coverage is so suspect in a lot of areas.

You dont need wifi on a verizon phone (even tho there are 5 phones that have/will offered it). Their evdo is fantastic, and the need for wifi is minimized.

How kind of ATNT to offer free wi-fi services to people that own Blackberries and iPhone BUT YOU HAVE TO HAVE A DATA PLAN.

Isn't that pretty much admitting that the data network on ATNT is not reliable?
Unreliable, slow, non-existant, etc.
