Notice how it's "Best Buy Mobile", not "Best Buy Phones"
They've been planning to sell things that allow you to be wireless. So, MP3 players, laptops with those lovely wireless cards, USB cables for cell phones for tethering, anything to get you away and disconnected.
That's my understanding of those stores models.
Yeah, we sell the MP3 and aircards, but my store doesn't have laptops. Some stores do. Most BBM Stores though can sell anything the big stores can sell and we have it shipped with no shipping costs to your home.
You know, this business model sounds a lot like a traditional Radio Shack store, without the electronic parts and batteries.
I like the fact that its a non-commission store.
As a customer I always feel I'm going to get sold whatever product or service that will make the salesperson the most commission.

There Turning into Carphone Wherehouse
I find it funny Car Phone Wherehouse here in the UK is looking more and more like a Mini Best Buy.
They have had good sucess selling MP3 players and cell phones. There is not a High Street here that does not have a CPW.
I'd like to see how it turns out.
As a quick aside, when I visited London I was totally bamboozled by the glut of CPW stores -- and all other chain stores/operator stores for that matter.
