How is this supposed to work?

What do they do to download the boarding pass to a mobile phone?

I haven't been able to get a picture out of mine.
thats simple, they send you a MMS of your barcode then they scan that into the computer as your boarding pass... the only real question is do you have to have a certain screen resolution. i.e. a 240x320 screen has alot better resolution than a 176x220...

Has never worked

It works to get you through security, but when you get to the gate and they try to scan it before boarding the plane, it has never worked. They have to search for me manually to check me off the list. Have tried about a dozen times, at Bush Airport in Houston. I have an AT&T Tilt (320x240 screen).
sounds as "convenient" as electric scissors. Laughing

I just don't see the point of this.

I really do not see the point of this. For the past few years on jetblue, I have been able to print my boarding pass outup to 24 hours in advance, and just use that. Having the pass on my cell just seems like it would be difficult and confusing.
