That phone is ugly.....

Usual bomb throwers... have not held or used yet you "KNOW" all about it. I'm sure that Garmin is going crackers just because YOU think they have it all wrong. Ugly? Hmm... this all from one picture. I think that it has some serious potential consider...

I was waiting for something like this. Plain and simple... I hate the options today... They are bs.

It's an iPhone with GPS....
it sounds like something i would be interested in...they sure would never offer anything that cool with big red. unless they cripple it to death first with that horrible software (Pay-Us-Now)...lol

Good for them

An actual surprise from a tech company - the phone strikes me as only somewhat neato (in the wake of the iPhone), but to have actually completely controlled any leaks and jumped into the game before anyone speculated they were going to, Garmin as performed a gadget industry miracle.

UI is of tremdous importance with a touchscreen, so this could be a ridiculously awful phone that no one likes using, or a brilliant new device on par with the iPhone (not likely, but who knows).

One thing's clear though - more companies need to do this. People will pay attention to the "nuviphone" (lousy name IMHO) than they would have otherwise just because it was such a surprise.
Their NUVI PND's are very simple to use and, I suspect the phone UI is going to be simple as well. Head over to GIZMODO for some nice screen shots, or check out garmin.com/nuviphone I believe.

It is very clean... uses GOogle local search and seems ...
