Nokia phones are too European for the U.S.
In terms of technology, Nokia phones are as good as any. However, in terms of styling, Nokia phones are just plain UGLY in the eyes of most Americans. Just releasing a dozen more of their same-old phones is not going to make them number 1 in the U.S. Nokia needs some U.S. styling input.
I'd rather using nokia phone for business men instead of useless iPhone!

I prefer buying the unbranded unlocked phones and the best Nokia's were always available. As far as 3G goes, it will be awhile before that is uniformly built out and the extra drain on the battery is not worth it.
My N82 does just fine without it. Could have bought the N95 with 3G as well. The point is this is a non event for those who already know how to find and buy the best Nokia's available.
