International Data Roaming?

Will this device use GPRS or EDGE while roaming overseas?? Verizon's website only says the following:

Dual Network Capability for International Travel:
CDMA/1xRTT/EV–DO (Domestic); GSM (International)
i dont know much about GSM, but it would probably be the equivalent of the 1xRTT WAP browsing on a CDMA phone, but on the GSM side.
probably uses GPRS for data over seas but who knows.
Verizon is only promising calling and two-way texting capabilities in GSM areas, which would neither require GPRS nor EDGE. All of the other data features, including Mobile Web and picture messaging, are listed on their web page as CDMA only. Thus, I ...

great option for those who travel abroad and still want the best network at home.
hopefully works better than the Moto A840 world phone. 😎~
those rates seem really high...is that about what you pay for Int'l roaming?
