Release Date of Curve 2 for verizon????

Does anybody know the release date of the 8900 for verizon??? I know sometime in May but im looking for dates people!! lol
There is no such thing as the Curve 2...the Curve 8900 for T-mobile was a simple evolution of that form factor. There is a Curve/Bold Hybrid coming soon for Verizon, but it is not the same phone that T-mobile has. Sorry

threading

Hey,
I have been using the 8900 for a while now and I was wondering is there a application I can download that makes me text stay in one continue thread? Like a chat window. I am getting tired of having to open different things to send messages or having to search through to find a old text.

what is a yellow globe on top of my 8900, cant seem how to take it off
It usually means there's a update available for your BlackBerry, or one of the programs it uses.

t-mobile data plan & 8900

can you purchase the 8900 from t-mobile without getting the data plan? I tried and the sales rep told me they arent allowed to sell it without the data plan. is this true and if so, is there a way around it? thanks
The only way around it I know of is to buy it used. I bought my 8900 used and in excellent condition. When I started it up i could make calls and used txt based on my current plan. after a week i decided i wanted the blackberry plan, but before that T...

Handoff to my office WiFi via UMA?

I am wondering if any of you techie guys can answer this question. I have a wireless network at the office and I have set my BB to connect to the network. I am enjoying the WiFi but my GSM signal is terrible here.

I noticed that my phone displays "UMA" where it normally displays "EDGE" when I am outside. Does this mean that when I am within my WiFi range, I am using the UMA protocol to connect my voice calls? Does this explain the fact that I am able to connect my phone?

I was seriously thinking about abandoning T-Mobile, but if the above is true, then I don't need to do that. Does anyone have enough knowledge ob this subject?

Thank you.

Its not, you got the Storm.
CDMA bold/curve 2 variant will be out by June of this year
looking at the Technical Specifications on blackberry.com; The Curve 8900 should be compatible on every network (GSM & CDMA) http://na.blackberry.com/eng/devices/blackber rycurve8900/curve_specifications.jsp. I have not yet to confirm that...I personna...

The blackberry Wi-Fi, when you connect to a wireless connection... Is it free, or does it appear on your bill as you using your browser? Thanks for any answers.

A couple of questions.

The first I got the new blackberry curve 8900.
I am looking for a very simple money budget app? I know that it comes with the mobile banking but I don't want to hook up my accounts. I want to be able to put in what I spend and then have it just keep track of it.

The other question is there away to but a signature on the text?
As far as the signature goes, I haven't the foggiest. But there is a free app that I've used for years called JabpLite. It's basically a register for your blackberry. you can have a bunch of accounts in them and just keep track of your purchases as yo...

should i wait?

my contract ends on the 17th and I really want a blackberry. this one is pretty much perfect, other than the 3G. but I found that there is another blackberry coming out for AT&T codenamed the "onyx" that is smaller than the bold and has 3G. should I wait? cause this might be a long time away, or it could be two months away. also, if anyone has any ideas on release dates for the "onyx", please let me know!

StereoBluetooth

Hello everyone. I wrote a review on this phone back when it 1st came out. Recently someone asked me a question about Stereo Bluetooth. Sadly i deleted the email and was not able to respond to the questions i was asked. I would like to take this time to talk about it in hopes that the person who asked me the question will read this and possibly help others who have had the same concern.

4 months later and yes....I still have and love my 8900. I have tried many other phones in the meantime (from Feb till now) and still, the 8900 outshines them 2-1 on pros vs cons.

The question at hand is about StereoBluetooth. I currently use a Stereo Bluetooth Cardo Headset. The headset works flawlessly with my phone. After pairing back in Feb I have no...

Texting and GPS

So I am looking to replace my 8120 which has been pretty decent but has a few things I am not in love with. I want another Blackberry (Crackberry) and I want one with a full keyboard. I am tossing this one and the original Curve around and had two big questions.

With my Pearl I have occasional issues with text messages. I can send them and they go out just fine but then I go back into the texting app and they aren't showing up and the phone suddenly won't show me any coming in. When this happens the ONLY want to make it stop is to take the battery out and restart the phone. A friend has had a similar problem with his flip blackberry and I am wondering if this is a common problem with blackberries or if the 8900 is without this issue....

Sounds to me like your phone may either need an update to the software or updated service books. Blackberry's have a lot of fixes that are ota so if you go into your email setup icon and hit send service books it might fix that issue. If that doesn't ...

need help with 8900

I was wondering if some how you could hear the music thru bluetooth headset?
I use my Cardo BlueTooth Headset with this phone and luv every min of it. Its clear on both the music end and phone calls.

When a call comes in, it pauses the song and gives you a little jingle in your ear to let you know of a incoming call. Except...

at&t telenav

The only down fall we can find is that this device does not support telenav. It supports LBS (BlackBerry Maps) and of course google maps or anything else of that nature. Hopefully BB app store will offer a download for this feature. Other than that its pretty flawless. our customers and sales reps all seem to love it.
The ATT BB 8900 does support ATT Navigator, but there is a problem in getting it set up in the system that is no fault of the phone. There was a change in the system that moved Navigator in ATT's set up screen to a different area and that area only op...

What's in the box for AT&T?

I need to know if it comes with a case and what kind. I have holster for my old Curve but had to buy it separately because they shipped with just the leather pocket protector style case.
It comes with a slip sleeve pocket like the Curve 8300-10's came with. Not a clip on case.
