Would it of been to hard to put a webcam in it?

It would seem like if they wanted to sell a service that you can't really get anywhere else (except skype or something) they would of just put a webcam it in to help sell them to multiple sets of people. Like if you had one and you had a webcam you'd tell your mom to buy one so you can video chat with her (my mom is the only person I video chat with because she is the only person that thinks I'm cool). But srsly. Webcam. It's the future. We should be video calling people already.

Web cam would set it out into the future of telecommunication. Nothing like calling up an old friend and being able to see them and their family. At first it would seem a little useless but once everyone starts moving into one it would become a must h...

I like the idea of it but...

I find it to be basically a combination/exaduration of what's already available. First, it's basically competing with verizon for home phone service cause this replaces a home phone. Second, it can be considered either a really really small computer with limited capabilities or a really really big cell phone that you can't walk around with. the limited internet is more similar to a pda cell phone. It's an interesting device, and I applaud verizon for taking the initiative. I just wonder how they're going to push it in stores.

No its not. If the revenue goes from Verizon landline to Verizon Wireless its still all Verizon...

Lacking in too many ways...

Neat idea, but this thing doesn't even sync calendar, contacts, email etc with a smartphone/exchange server mailbox...DURRR...They targeted at busy business professionals and didn't think that would be an important feature?

...Purely a waste of money.
Just keep your eyes open.

RIGHT NOW, you can import contacts from Outlook off the Hub website. You should see more PIM capability in the future.
I totally agree, why have such a device from your wireless carrier if it doesn't sync with your device the ideal and most simplistic design would be to give full sync capabillities and also be able to sync multiple devices so you could veiw everyones ...

If only I still had a need for a home phone...
Hmmmm . . . Looks similar to what AT&T Home Manager looks like. They have had this product for a little while now.
