wow

sprint has been doing this for years

sprint basic 200, 200 day minutes and UNLIMITED n/w minutes for $29.99/month

and our family plan has them beat as well.
🙄
You would think that they would at least TRY to be a little more cutting edge and make the plan closer to 19.99 or 24.99 with 100 daytime and 500 night and weekend minutes.
Most of the older people I know still wouldn't come close to that.

Here we go.....way to go VZW for being...oh, I dunno.WAY BEHIND THE TIMES!!! Sprint has had a plan like this for ATLEAST 2yrs. with unlimited N&W minutes...your plans suck, your data plans REALLY suck...I will say that you guys have some cool phones.....

T-Mobile has one similar too.

300 mins, unlimited weekends - $29.99
Family Plan, 1000 mins - $49.99
or
700 mins, unlimited n/w, M2m - $59.99

I still don't understand why anyone likes Verizon......
...
the verizon wireless plan includes unlimited IN calling and unlimited long distance which is not mentioned on the phonescoop article but it on the verizon news posting.

plus this plan is free of the BS sprint network and terrible customer service.

what the news posting fails to mentions

is that all of the plans include unlimited IN calling (including the 29.99 one)

when you factor in the unlimited IN calling its a pretty good plan for people who dont talk alot.
That makes it a little better but it still isn't anything to do cartwheels over.

All the previous posters are correct...

This isn't revolutionary, Verizon should cancel the plan and go back to not offering a lower plan, I'm sure the Seniors won't mind a bit.

Why is it you have to have the plan first for it to make it good? Why do you need to have more minutes on what is essentially an emergency plan? If you need more minutes you PAY for them, just like at every other carrier.

And the reason Verizon announces the plans...

Because customers like Verizon, and when Verizon offers something, people care. Maybe not the people reading this, but the majority of the public, which is who they sell to.

TO be honest I could do without the plan, it makes the company less money, which in turn makes me less money. But I recognize its good for the consumer and th...
