Reading this new bit reminded me of when Google announced that they weren't at all interested in an MVNO, and a certain commenter on here thought that they were crazy not to, what with all the "millions" of dollars to be made in the cellphone industry. 🙄
Google as a carrier is just as dumb an idea now as it was then, but I'm very very curious to see what they end up doing with the spectrum they're after here. Clearly, they're thinking out of the traditional telecom box here. . .

They are in it for the money and nothing more. They want to own it so they can sell off time to use the network.
