My wife and I both have new ZINE's and I am having all kinds of problems getting them to interface smoothly with my PC. The most irritating is that I'm able to plug each one in, download the pictures no problem, but I do not get a 'remove hardware' icon in the quick launch bar. This problem is typical on BOTH phones. I've simply resorted to shutting the computer down and then unplugging the phone, hoping this doesn't screw them up.
Does anyone have any guesses where I might be going wrong?
I have the same problem. I looked all over the place for that little icon, and couldn't find it. Finally, I just figured I'd go for it and unplug the device without shutting anything down. All my pictures were safely saved on the computer, and there w... (continues)
It's really not hard to get off.. Push button and just pop it outwards... then to put back on put bottom inside holes and just pop inwards... Phone is really great though... Linux OS is awesome and fast and its the best phone i've ever owned and i've ... (continues)
So I got my new phone took awhile to get my preexisting MyFaves to work. Support people had to change the names and re-sync. Then they finally loaded and all I had to do was change the names back.
Now the WiFi!
It picks up my home signal just great! But, how do I access the internet without it costing me. Can this be done? On one of the reviews here someone else stated they had done it. Also can you download your pictures to your home computer over the WiFi. I had to tell the salesperson that it is supposedly possible. He thought the WiFi was only for Web to Go.
I'm quite sure you can but if it needs a bigger battery door how will it fit inside the Zine without a extended battery door they dont make? Thats the only problem I see.. I've done with nokias and it does not mess up phone but you wont have a back do... (continues)
I bought the Zine a few days ago from T-Mobile. I have to say, this phone is fantastic. I just have a few responses to the review:
* Yes, it'd be nice if the microSD was hot-swappable, but since it can hold up to 8GB and I can transfer data without removing it, I don't think it will ever affect me. * Screen: beautiful * Signal: better than my last phone * Sound: I completely disagree with the review... I have to set the volume to the lowest setting. The people talking on the other end are too loud at any other setting. As for the ringer: lowest setting is still too loud (in the office). * Battery: OK so far, though the flash and WiFi drain it fast. * Menu organization could use some work, though I'm getting used to it. * MP3 sou... I installed the Motorola Phone Tools and Kodak Easy Share Software from the CD that came in the box fr the Zine. Easy Share installed and loaded just fine but everytime I try to install the Phone Tools it tells me my phone is not compatible and cannot find an updated version from the web. What's the issue here? Am I doing something wrong, or is this software just not compatible with the Zine right now? Anyone else hae this issue?
I played with this today and its very impressive. If Moto could make this for all carriers like the POS Razr it might hepl them to tread water for a few more months before going under. The cam is (I really dont want to say this)the best that I have ... (continues)
