movie appearance

btw, this was the phone that was used by the bad guy (played by sean bean) in the movie "The Island"
I believe it was in "Transporter 2" as well! ๐Ÿ˜
hey,

I think the actor was Ewan McGregor, and he played dual roles of the lead character and the person he was cloned from.

cheers ๐Ÿ™‚

It's also in the movie: Crank

Is it just me, or. . .

Do the other 2 phones (6500 Classic & Slide) seem far more attractive than the 8600?

1 gb of internal storage? That's kinda cool, as is the 3.2 autofocus camera on the Slide. Now if they added S60 and/or 3G, that'd be neato. Or even better, if they made such a device with US 3G. Or even better than that, if they took my N75 as a trade in for such a device. ๐Ÿ˜‰

But yeah - 8600: really expensive for no reason. ๐Ÿคจ ๐Ÿ˜• ๐Ÿ˜ณ
I think it might be expensive because Nokia considers it part of their designer phones, that's why the gave it the name Luna, how often does Nokia name they're phones, ...not often.

But right, still not worth it. hopefully Nokia will get the messen...

For $1000 I need a real camea

...I don't care if it's made of glass!
good thing the price is only $700. you can buy a digital camera with the left over ~$250 after taxes.
...
Damn!!! That's how much this phone cost???

Heck the N95 costs less than a $1,000, and that is far more feature packed!

I'd never pay a $1,000 for any phone, I've paid $50 for mine though, and I'm happy with it.

Does it still have the two little peanut batteries?

Cause those were the worst part of the 8800...

Bring back the 8860 and 8890!!!

Those were the pimpest phones ever. Just update them, add a QVGA screen and 2 MP camera and have them run S60. Make it one of the N series, but keep it looking pretty much the same as the original!
