I would expect that Sprint and Verizon Wireless come to the defense of Qualcomm, afterall, its their chipsets that are in most CDMA (1x/EVDO) handsets. They have to look after their bottom line.

Absolutely. Sprint and Verizon has to since they are the largest customers. Although if Broadcom's stay is granted, then they will have look at other Technologies if they want to stay in business.
