Video Quality of the Dare

I currently own the Voyager and I am very disappointed in the video playback. During the hockey season I signed up to get premium videos from my favorite team - the were so small it was nuts.

How is the video on the Dare? I am giving serious consideration to getting a iPhone as I have been impressed with the entire phone.

I tried again to look at the Dare and was told not until the 3rd would it be available in the stores.

V06 is now available

Just thought I'd let all Dare owners know. Unfortunately, I do not know what the upgrade is supposed to improve. I upgraded from V05 to V06 Monday and haven't noticed anything different.
Did you do the over the air software update or take it to a store? I have version 5 and just checked the over the air software update, and it said that I am running the most current version.

I recently got the firmware upgraded to V06, pretty much the only thing I've noticed is the touch screen is much more responsive.

Any way around this.
Sorry for long post.
IDK, but I would just say that your old phone broke and you got a spare phone to replace, but I would go to a verizon authorized store

Is the Dare Dead?

Did LG or Verizon kill the Dare? Mines been acting up, it just locks up and i have to sometimes pull the battery to restart it. I was going to call Verizon and get a new one since this is only 5 months old, but if they killed it off I might have to get something else. Any one know anything about the Dare and Verizon?
๐Ÿ™‚ The DARE is alive and kicking as far as I know. so if you return it you should be able to get another DARE. No worries about having to get a diffrent Model.

lg dare

Is it harmful to leave the phone plugged in to the charger overnight even when turned off? I was told "not to charge it for over 3 hours" or it will damage the Li ion battery.
Ive' had the phone since it came out and this is my habit. I plug it in right as Im going to sleep and dont unplug it until I get up in the morning. I've never had any problem with the battery.

Will there be a successor

"While supplies last" has been added to Verizon's site.
Well I hope that this is a sign that there will be a "Dare 2". I really love my Dare but.. a really good new version would be awesome!!! ๐Ÿคค

Questions...

I've decided that my next phone will be the DARE...got a couple of questions if you don't mind helping me out...

I've read some about the proximity sensor having issues if it's covered in any way, even if using a clear skin or clear screen protector, has this been the case for the majority of users?

I've looked at Bodyguardz and Invisible Shield by Zagg...I'm leaning toward Bodyguardz, reviews have stated it's easier to apply than the I.S. and it lasts longer without yellowing or peeling/cracking off...anyone have any input about either of these?

Thanks.
Ive have no issues with the sensors. They just adjust the screen brightness automatically and the proximity one to shut off the light when talking on the phone and turn back on to add notes, ect while on a call.

As far as a screen protector, Ive h...

I don't mean to sound rude, but didn't your phone come with an istruction manual? The time it would take someone to type all of these instructions out for you here (and the time it would take you to read it) would be longer than if you just read the ...

LG Dare

I just got the iclone - LG Dare - so that I could stay with Verizon. Fortunately many of the features are very intuitive because the instructional user guide is not much more that a quick start guide. It addresses the most basic stuff in painful detail (over and over) and does not address full capabilities with any useful direction. It painfully begins each direction with 3 part instruction on unlocking the screen (touch the lock icon on the screen, duh!) and then proceeds with the how to, but only in the really basic stuff. And while it does give some "how to", it does not give the "why you would or would not want to" choose particular options. In other words, it really does not address functionality. It even misses the boat on some b...

I'M POSSIBLY GETTING A 'DARE' BUT.....

๐Ÿ™‚ Hi I was hoping someone could help me with this-when i was in a vzw store, they could not. I currently have a pink curve-so-can the dare copy and paste like you do with a bb? Also, is it really that difficult navigating on the web with the Dare? ie. how do you 'scroll' up on a page-is it by touching and'holding' the page as you move your finger up? the model in the store did not work properly!! tia for anyone that can help before i decide to upgrade my ph!
The Dare is a great phone, but you might be somewhat dissapointed with web browsing. This is the first phone I have ever had where I actually used the internet, so I don't really have anything to compare it too. It's been available on many of my pas...

LG Dare & Mac OSX Leopard

๐Ÿ™„ I am a mac user; also (due to living in rural mountainous area)verizon is the only game in this little town. I have finally sorted through all verizon phones and have decided that the dare comes closest to meeting my needs and I have played with it and like the interface. The big unknown is mac compatibility. I have spoken to at least a half dozen people who work for verizon (all of whom assure me that they are 100% certain that their answers are correct) who completely contradict each other. The answers range from "it is in no way compatible" to "music, pics, contact list, notes, etc. can easily be shared with mac via micro sd card or bluetooth". Any feedback from those of you mac users with the Dare is appreciated. I'm still pr...
