LG enV Rocks!

I got the phone last Friday and I have to say it is one of the best phones i've seen from Verizon in a while. Anyways checkout my review if you are interested:

Also if anyone has any questions please feel free to ask here or on my site.
Do u have the option to change the colors of the status and soft keys, like on the LGvx8300? Thanx...

What a shame why make a phone like this without web access 😕

Ok, here is my noob question.

What advantage does this phone have over a Windows Mobile phone such as the new Treo or the Motorola Q?

It seems like this phone is as expensive as the PDA/Smartphone, but it doesn't offer things that they do, while...

This phone has alot of Nay-sayers. This is a phone, not a PDA, if you want something with Windows, buy a PDA. This is something you would compare to the lg8300/8500/8600 and the 9800. Same functionally, different form.

MP3/WMA player
Stereo BT

I don't see why you're all complaining

This phone is a bit cheaper than the pdas and comes with a 2 megapixel autofocus camera and QVGA video. Some people don't need pda functions or don't want to pay out the ass for them but could appreciate a qwerty keyboard for texting and a high quality camera both for a cheaper price. I'm one of those people. I'm in college and if I want to look something up online, I could walk 10 feet to the nearest library instead of paying $10,000 to do it on my phone. And while I usually hate texting (especially with a non-qwerty keyboard) sometimes it's the only way you can communicate when you or a friend are in class.

I'm going to look into getting this phone. Still, camera quality is the most important thing to me so if it isn't sensitive to...

By the way, does anyone know if one would be able to save or transfer pictures or videos taken directly to a memory card so you could send them to your computer without having to use pix messages with VZW?

My review

Hello all. New to this list. Anyhow, I'm an ASO at VZW and here's my review.

Phone just came in a few days ago and I was a current owner of a 9800 to which I just sold on ebay about a week ago. Was looking to upgrade to the 9900 but changed my mind due to a couple things about this phone.

The positives:

The 9900 as most all know now is finally slimmer! It's also about a 1/2 ounce lighter.

It's 2.0 megapixel camera is finally now in the quality realm of a Samsung and finally since the chocolate came out LG's can now take over the MMS limit of 15 secs of video. That's a huge improvement! Also the quality of the video is comparable to the Samsung 990. The video codec LG is now using is a much higher grade codec, or the compre...

I agree whole heartedly. It's and improvement to the 9800 in size and thickness, but dropped the ball on design. It feels very flimsy, the silver color and front keys look dated. If you didn't know better, this could be a candybar phone from 1999. ...

Just coming up shy...

That's where this phone fails to entice me...not offering a rich, smartphone operating system.
its not suppose to be a "smartphone operating system" type phone...it cost much less than those types of phones

Thats what I thought to until someone told me its for people under 25 who like to text.

if it was a smartphone it'd be under the smartphone tab on the vzw website.
