Memory Cards for this phone?

Do I have to have a Sony Ericsson SD card for this phone? I put a regualar SD card into it that works for my Nokia, but the phone won't read it. I was told my a customer rep that I had to have a SE card. I sell Alltel and Nextel and I know that any brand card will work in any phone.

Help?!
nope i went to target to get my memory card for my sony phone and it was not made by them. it may not have worked because it was formatted for the other phone... but no you do not have to order one from them. 🙂

It is easily unlockable

This phone is unlockable but it has a tricky step. Unlike what you may have heard this phone *can* be unlocked over the phone with AT&T provided you and the phone qualify to have the subsidy lock removed. GoPhone customers such as myself do qualify; it depends how long you've had GoPhone and how long you've owned this phone.

There are almost no internet services that can do this online by the usual means of sending a code in return for your IMEI. The ones that I have found all ask for huge charges and make you download special software and use a cable to flash it with new firmware. Actually this isn't necessary at all.

The phone is unlockable by calling AT&T and getting the unlock code. The tricky part that is so unusual about thi...

Z750

Has Sony Ericsson stopped producing this set? I checked the sets on the AT&T web site and only the gray set is available. It is a very good flip.

Z750 w/ AT&T

I have a Z750 w/ AT&T service. My friend tried to send me a photo using the e-mail address (my 10-digit-#)@mms.att.net.

I sent myself several "test" msgs using this address. I NEVER received any of them. Is this not the right address? Is there something I need to do on my phone in order to receive these msgs?
Try @txt.att.net

MMS.Att.Net typically works for me. Dunno what could be wrong with your phone O.o

Signatures?

Short and sweet: Is there any way to activate a signature without making my texts MMS's? Every time I press 'attach signature', it goes from text to MMS

Thank you in advance 🙂

talk time

I am considering buying this phone but am concerned about battery. Please tell me how much talk time you are getting. I only use phone to talk, nothing else.
I want this phone too!

Have you looked at the user reviews over at AT&T's website?

They have a lot of reviews on this phone over there, none so far on the two refurbs on their prepaid GoPhone page, but if you just search this phone on the site...

Problems with Z750a

I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing problems with this phone. I've only had this phone for 5 days and it's giving me trouble. I wonder if I should just take it back. The first problem I had with it was the phone would not recognize set picture and ringtone ID's. This problem was fixed by doing a setting reset, but today the phone just died. It wasn't off, just frozen and it would not work at all or turn off. I had to take the battery out and when I started it again, the date and time would not adjust correctly. I did the whole "reset settings" again but the time was still wrong. Then about 5 minutes later the phone died again. This time I took the battery and SIM card out and then it seemed to work. It has not died again s...

XM Radio Questions.....

I just found this phone over at AT&T as a refurb and saw that it does XM radio, FM, 2mp cam, etc, and it sounds really really cool!

I just read the phonescoop review and saw the screen graphics, what it can do, etc. Love the screen.

While I'd like ideally to have a QWERTY texting phone, I do want XM...

Anyone out there who has this phone with service through AT&T, that uses the XM function... ? Saw some reviews, not everyone uses the "features."

I like to listen to Coast to Coast and Alex Jones/Infowars, are those shows on this cell's XM list?? Or is it a music only deal that blocks political or other talk format broadcasts?

I've never had an XM radio at all, and tired of being out of the broadcast area for shows I like......

SUNSHINE RINGTONE

Does anyone know who the artist is that sings this? Or the actual song it derives from. Thanks. 🙂

Ringtone ID issue

I'm just curious if anyone else has had trouble with the ringer id feature on the phone. I can set a ringtone for a contact but when that person calls I only get the default ringtone. AT&T has no clue what the problem is and sony doesn't either. Sony told me it sounded like a software issue and told me to exchange the phone for a new one so I did and still have the same issue.
I had the same problem with this phone. Out of the box the first one did not recognize picture and ringtone ID's. When I called the AT&T store I was told to bring it back and get a new one. The AT&T sales person tested the new phone to make sure th...

Does AT&T have exclusivity?

Am waiting for the unbranded version, but it's not popping up anywhere. Does anyone know if AT&T have exclusivity with the Z750? If so, for how long?
Not really sure if its exclusive, but it does seem that except for one or two phones from SE carried by SunCom. They are the only gsm carrier I know of in the US that carries any SE phones.

Exclusivity?

Thanks for the review. Am looking forward to using this phone as an (overseas) traveling companion. Does AT&T currently have exclusivity on selling this phone? It's not available at any of the "unlocked" shops, and even using the "I Want One" link from SonyEricsson's website goes to a Sony Style webpage where the phone is not listed. 😕

Things to get and look for on the z750a

I just wrote a review that you can read in that section. However the ebay seller is e2shops instead of ezshops. They sell clear cases that are hard and just snap on the outsides. The outside of the z750a gets tons of fingerprints and scratches so if you want it to keep a nice finish you need to get a cover. The hard clear cover was the only one I found that would let you enjoy the color of the phone. I get tired of the old black cases

The phone is a lot nicer than the tester. Sound is better and it powers up abit faster that the tester but still slower than my other sony phones I've had.

There is a flash attachment for this phone but apparently AT&T does have the phone support it. Hopefully they will do something about that. The atta...

It's finally here!

I just checked the AT&T website and it's available. $50 after $100 MIR, just as described.

Now how about an in depth review from Phonescoop?
Yes -- the specs are great, but we need hands-on reviews!

Specifically, I'd like to know:
1. How the reception is
2. How the user interface (hopefully MUCH better than most SE phones! E.g. the W580 takes 3+ clicks for common tasks where it ought ...

At&t will carry it, once it passes testing of course. But no idea on a release date.

Hopefully here by April 10, 2008

I have a demo model of this phone. I have been using it for about 6 months. This handles well and I got a hard crystal case on ebay that protects the beautiful finsh that is subject to scratches. The only problem I have with this phone is the speaker. Some of the ringtones I can hear but some I can't and the volume the highest it will go. I transferred some of my ringtones from my older Sony to this one using the memory chip with the computer. The sound/speaker on my S710a is better than the z750a. The S710a also powers up faster than the z750a. I just hope the wait on these coming in was due to the fact that they fixed both of these problems. Other than that the phone is great. I have never ran out of battery power which is something I have...

Where is it?

Well it was all over the internet that today was supposed to be the release date set for this phone and it's still no where to be found. I checked the website called the 800 number and even called one of the local stores no one had any info on it or knew anything about it. It is on the current rebate form so it must be coming soon.
Don't hold your breath... The phone has been announced since March of last year and was to have been released 3rd quarter of 07. In October I got an email from Sony Ericsson announcing it was available for purchase, yet no one had it. In January there...
