I wish Cingular would get this

Then i could get unlimited calls at home. 😁
🤣

Unfortunately seems like Cingular does not like Alcatel as a vendor. Too bad for them, because Alcatel is the only one with the network ready to deploy this. Alcatel is far ahead of any other vendor in terms of having mastered the specs.

Saw this in the Bellevue store

Went in on Saturday to a store in Bellevue/Factoria right by T-Mobile HQ and they had the Linksys access point sitting there with FREE as the price next to the UMA phone. I picked up the pamphlet and asked the guy about it. He said it was a trial market with only 200 users. He said they were all full up although there was a waiting list I could get on if I was interested. The service is called "T-mobile HotSpot @Home" and costs $19.99 per month when added to a $39.99 or greater voice plan. You get unlimited calls at home and any T-Mobile wifi hotspot. It says that the phone will "automatically and seemlessly transition between Hotspots and the T-Mobile GSM network so you never miss a word". That's quite interesting because I heard from some...

Did you get any feel for whether TMobile had a lot of folks on the At-home trial waiting list? I'd like to get on that list if possible.

I remember reading that the Motorola A910 was supposed to be compatible with this... anyone know the scoop on that?

LG?

I had heard of the @Home service in February, and have been waiting a minute. The most surprizing thing in the article is listing an LG phone. T-Mob has been SO against them (probably since they back Samsung)!

Wish I could try it...

Unlimited calling from home means I can ditch my landline and take my base station when I travel so I am always home 🙂
I was thinking the same thing. 😎
I heard eventually there will be unlimited calling from ANY hotspot so there might not be a need to do this...

😈
finally an advantage to being a t-mob customer outside of low price. any suggestions on good uma phones?
The phone I tried it with, was MOST annoying - required resets on a regular basis. Hopefully, the other two they are offering will fair better.

Otherwise, good service overall.
