Kyocera DuraXV LTE with camera , KYOCERA & VERIZON ….

Warning: ( very important negative aspects of this phone):
I relied heavily on reviews about this phone… and I really need to let others know the truth about it. Readers need to know not to make the same mistake at purchasing an overpriced defective device that is NOTHING like it is advertised to be; and that there is no true support or help with this phone & company to fix and or replace it when there are problems, even when it is still brand new! Kyocera customer service was rude and unwilling to take any responsibility for having a defective phone and were very cold and callous. There were very high costs to send the phone back for just evaluation, customers pay all shipping. Verizon similar except some said they would help but wh...

I love this phone. I bought it used and it still was not cheap. I did not buy it for it's camera, or games, or internet. That is not what the purpose of flip phones are. It is to make calls. Mine has great call quality and reception. I am not dumb eno...

Kyocera DuraXE Battery Life

Retired so pickup a Kyocera DuraXE activated on Consumer Cellular. Ruggerd phone for fumble fingers and great carrier for the retired.

Issue - Battery life is terrible. Less then 10 hours, no talk and everything turned off except the phone itself. New battery, same thing. I have read everything I can but can find no answers that increase the battery life.

I must be missing something. Anyone else have this issue? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I get about 3 days battery life with only a couple of short calls.
Did you "train" your battery? By this I mean fully charge your battery, then let it drain down completely(5%). Repeat this at least 5 times in a row when you get a new battery. Not d...

Longer text notification tone

The current text notification tones aren't near long enough. During the night, when we're on call, the current text notification tones aren't near long enough when we're asleep and the SCADA system (Wastewater Treatment Plant) calls us with a problem. The best thing would to be able to assign anything from media player to the text notification sounds. Ability to assign media player things to ring tones would be nice also. It would be equally as nice to increase the alarms from 5 to 10. Otherwise, the phone works good.

Kyocera DuraXE

Very Good specs, hardware, software for this type of phone.
It's actually running a version of Android. It can't run Android apps, but AOSP is the basis for the OS.

There is no feature phone OS that supports AT&T's newest network requirements (such as VoLTE). It was easier for Kyocera to use and modify AOS...
