Motorola Brand To Be Phased Out
An Unfortunate End...
It's a shame that the Motorola brand will be done away with... the brand that developed the first mobile phone, and then helped to popularize mobile phones, particularly in the US. At least with Nokia (Devices and Services), when that brand went away, there was some hope that the brand would come back in some fashion in 2016 thanks to the surviving wing of Nokia, but Motorola Solutions is not nearly as likely to try their hand at making mobile phones any time soon, so I don't really have any hope of Motorola making a resurgence.
Be interested in which device you use. It's funny how people get all upset over a brand being done away with when they are part of the reason why by not purchasing their product.

Google Shame
Too bad greedy Google immediately sold Mototola to a foreign company. I'm sure they needed the money. Little by little we own and manufacture less. It won't be long. Goodbye Motorola. I guess hello Sushiola.
I think google bought Motorola just to get the patents from it... and then sell off the rest. Motorola still exists but phone division is phased out just like Nokia. Besides, the smartphone market is flooded with so many competitions, time to move on....

Everyone knows who Motorola is, not everyone knows who Lenovo is
They must know something we don't, because I'd want the brand recognition of the Motorola name attached to my company. Lenovo is starting to pick up here in the US thanks to the sale of their laptops, but no one associates Lenovo as a phone company, so it will be interesting to see how this plays out. I wonder what happened to the division of Motorola that makes cable modems and such, I still use a Motorola modem.
