Meh, we've known this for years...

ATT was one of the first, we knew about them back in the nineties when we first started bringing up these privacy issues. But these days, ATT is just one block in a corrupt chain of the NSA owning All aspects of All your devices.
Jacob Applebaums "To Protect and Infect 2" is a slow but great highlight of all the ways the NSA owns pretty much everything, from Network to the SIM to the hardware layer to the Device OS to the memory card. So i just assume if they really want to know whats on your device or what you do with it, they already do.

Well good thing there's a checks and balance system implemented!

Oh wait, nothing happens to them - Constitution be damned. It'd be awful nice if we could hold someone accountable for massive breaches in law.

One can dream.

It's a small price to pay

For "diversity." Keep letting into the US these radical Islamic Jihadist from the Middle East so our government has an excuse to spy on everyone. If it's not the "war on drugs" to justify the police driving around in massive armored cars and dressed up like paramilitary storm troopers, it's now the "war on terror" to justify the government spying on every phone call and email.
