S6 price drop soon?

I'm on cricket so I'm looking to purchase a full price S6. With the S8 release around the corner, can we expect to see a full retail price drop or the S6? If so, how much? I'll likely purchase from Cricket or on Amazon.

samsung design idiots

If I wanted a handset without a memory card and non replaceable battery I would get an I phone.

I repeat,Idiots!!
I partly agree with you. I have always loved that Samsung (and most android manufacturers) include expandable storage in their devices, its a big selling point that I use when I sell them. I personally use an SD card, and am really disappointed that t...

I agree this is another iphone. I hope the Note 5 keeps the removable battery and expandable memory card.
I agree with Cuzman losing the memory card sucks. However with so many other ways for people to back stuff up the memory card is not really needed anymore. Most of the time the battery's don't really go bad anymore. The only people who should have a...

The missing SD card I can still swallow, you have at least an option to purchase a 128 GB version (although for much more $$$ than an SD card) and online solutions; but the battery?? What the heck were they thinking? making a smaller battery than the ...

Qualcomm vs. Exynos

Does someone know if the Exynos processor is tested enough that it is worth the upgrade yet? I have heard that they went to Octacore to make up for lag.

Thank You
I have used an s6 first hand with the new octacore and all I can say is it is extremely fast. Zero lag what so ever. It is still just 2 different quad cores that are used. The bigger one is used when the phone is being pushed really hard and the s...

No Data while on Voice Calls!!!!

I got this phone on release day, and had hotspot on today when I needed to call the 800 number for support on a website I was using from my laptop. Upon doing so I had no mobile data - it dropped to 1x and hotspot data cut out! Called verizon support and confirmed that HD Voice can be added to the phone, but this ONLY works while on the phone with other verizon phones (i.e., in pretty much NO circumstance that most people would need it.)

Other than the S6, the only other phone I know about that had this issue was the Droid Turbo which pretty much was a failure despite technically being a great phone. The Verizon rep was extremely surprised at this as well, and was going to talk to a Samsung rep tomorrow when they came in to the support...

You need AT&T for that feature. It's always been a feature with AT&T. Verizon is late to the party and don't have the feature fully working yet.

Best purchase place?

Most carriers are offering some incentive or another to upgrade to the GS6. This isn't a question about what carrier to choose as most people will stick with the carrier that either provides the best coverage in their area, or the one that provides the best value (cost for data allowance). The question is which location to purchase from. For example, Best Buy is offering a free wireless charging pad if you upgrade through their stores. I haven't been able to find any other retailers offering special deals. Anyone have leads on special offers or bundles from other retailers?
I ordered mine through best buy, t-mob is offering a year of netflix and att is offering 50 dollars off a wireless headset. I am on att so tmob deal didn't help me and i have no use for another headset. the wireless charger interested me the most. Tho...

Android 5.0

The Android 5.0 Lollipop update is not yet available on my country for Samsung Galaxy S5. If I use Odin in updating my phone using other country's baseband version, is my phone then considered rooted and have violated my carrier's policy? 👀 👀 👀
There are a couple considerations.

1. variants of Galaxy Phones often differ slightly from country to country. Installing a build for a different device (no matter how similar) could brick your phone.

2. You will likely have to root your phone ...
