No incentive

Now there is no reason to do edge. At first it was so we can upgrade to new phone basically whenever, then they changed it to 75% now its 100% ... may as well do the contract 🙄
While I agree with everyone that this move kinds sucks. Many people will still benefit from an Edge agreement. Anyone with a 6GB data plan or higher should still do Edge. 6GB gets you a $25/month discount on your line access which, over the 24 months,...

Why???

I dont get the point of this, they need to just get rid of italtogether. Theres no point in getting this. The whole point of having this option is to be able to get a phone without being on a 2 year contract and being able to trade it in after a year and upgrade.

First they change it to 75% and now this. I see a lot of people leaving because of this, i know i personally have.
It's Verizon; it's all about the $$$

2-Year Contract, Discount Pricing on Device, $10 more in plan costs per month. Upgrade new device at 22 Months. Pay $300 ETF

2-Year EDGE, No discount pricing on device. $10 less in plan costs per month. Upgrade new device at 24 months.

Maybe T-Mobile will grow even more now.
more likely that theyll go to AT&T

but yes definately see Sprint and T-mobile growing
