they gotta whip out a better check than tha 1.6 million they claim every year.

on top of that the orange devil is and will be lightyears of t-slowbile.

why would cingular be interested in this auction? i thought that they were already implementing 3g on 1900.

Some Additional Info about the Auction.

The FCC announced that they will be starting to auction 90 MHz of spectrum for AWS (advanced wireless services) in the 1710-1755 MHz and 2110-2155 MHz bands on June 29th of 2006, as you guys already know.

There will be 1,122 licenses that will be up for auction and they are seeking about $1.285 billion dollars and these spectrum will be in the A-F block with the majority of licenses in the A block range and there are 20 MHz of total bandwidth. (A-Block= 1710-1720/2110-2120)

Auctions are fun and we will have to see who wins on June 29th

This is one of the best times in the wireless industry because it shows how much spending power a carrier has especially since it will need this spectrum to grow. We obviously know that t-mobile USA is in desperate need for this spectrum so I am sure they will be or try to be the front-runner in this auction, however, its competitors can spoil their shot by bidding and either making T-mobile USA overbid or not bid at all and they would have to wait for the FCC’s next 3g auction.

Anyone can bid on this spectrum and you can never have enough spectrum so if the price is right in some markets you can rest assure many carriers including those who are the big boys and even the little boys would take place to grow and to offer different soluti...
