Qualcomm Teases High-End Smartphone for CES

Now if they only charged reasonable prices...

But maybe their settlement deals in China and the EU will change that, because if they are charging too much there, they are definitely charging too much here. The price differential on a qualcomm chip, especially the top of the food chain, is ridiculous.
Just for example, the Asus padfone with a perfectly functional Intel dual core chip is $200 out the door. The same model with nearly identical specs but a qualcomm chipset is $500. Qualcomm chips are good, but they aren't That good and Qualcomm is a big part of the reason why the big manufacturers have to charge so much for a decent model device. And apparently no one wants a flagship phone without a qualcomm chip, I mean 15 percent better performance for 150 percent higher price, what...
