The days of bad T-mo coverage are numbered

Just wait for them to deploy the 700Mhz spectrum they purchased from Verizon, and hopefully they will bid on / win some 600Mhz spectrum as well. Many phones that are being released already support LTE 700 for that spectrum as well.
Yeah, I'm still waiting on them to get rid of the EDGE coverage in the suburban areas. TMO is solid inside my city and its suburbs, but once you hit the rural areas you're back on 2G, even on the major interstates, which is useless for GPS and naviga...

I haven't been able to find a phone yet that supports LTE on band class 12 (Lower A Block [the specific block of...

How about they learn how to build out a good network with the spectrum they already have. If Sprint, Verizon, & AT&T can do it, then why is T-Mobile having that much trouble building out a network that will work for most people? Out of all carriers ...

Apples and oranges

Note that the data is not shared, it is strictly 2.5GB LTE per phone, not a bucket like the other carriers. Also LTE allowance goes down by more than half in less than 1.5 years. This is not exactly "UN-carrier" to promote this as equivalent.

Yes there are advantages, including music streaming and overseas 2G data, but most users are going to read 10GB and four lines and not realize that this is a fundamentally different than the other carriers offerings.

For many young people this will be better because they use up all their data music streaming, but for others this plan will be problematic.

Save 1/3 the cost, for 1/3 the coverage

Sorry, I like my coverage. You get what you pay for. Paying less per month is useless if the phones are useless too.
I apologize that where you live your coverage with T-Mobile is bad/non-existent. This deal obviously is not meant for you. I am a T-Mobile user who came from AT&T. While I can't speak for every single part of the country, or even parts of the state th...

Question

Does anyone know if the promo is for two lines? Or is it just four?
Minimum number of lines: 4
Maximum number of lines: 5

It will not be available to a 2-line account, unfortunately.

...I have just confirmed. It is NOT available for 1 - 3 lines. Absolute minimum is 4.

Fine Print

Actually, the promotion is only good until 9/30/2014. The 01/02/2016 is when the data drops to 1Gb per line.
I'm a T-mobile CSR Support and they're actually working on this to make it longer.
