rokr v6 camera flash

does anyone know if the music player is better than the v3xx and if the camera flash stays on while it's in the viewfinder mode or only;y briefly comes on and then goes off while taking the pic. thanks!
Music player on this if excellent. The flash stays on constant while in viewfinder mode and then blinks briefly when the pic is taken. If you have your auto-save turned on, once the pic is saved the flash turns back on again. It will stay on until ...

I just got a Rokr z6. I have ATT. Text messages work fine but it won't let me send pictures in a text message. I keep getting the message about not finding the internet. The book is not helping. Help?

do have a memory question though

I have a 2 gig card in now, and have yet to fill it. But I was wondering if anyone has tried a 4 gig in there yet? I know it will support it, but I've heard that once it reaches 2 gigs it will say memory full even though you have 2 gigs left.

Just curious, I'm happy with the 2 gig, but with the 4 i was thinking I could download a full length movie or two for long trips and such.

Anybody give it a shot yet, I don't want to spend 100 dollars on a card if my 40 dollar one will do the same thing.

Thanks.

just ordered mine

hey thanks for the promo code, saved me $42 bucks. Really looking forward to getting it. Just got the sony 580i, but am returning it today, just bad build quality. I am partial to moto phones.
Gonna get a v3 for free as a backup phone, always had good luck with them.
But just wanted to thank the previous thread for the promo code.
So the mms and internet settings for at&t are sent with the phone?

Thanks,
Jason
You can find the settings for AT&T and how to enter them here...

ROKR Z6 technical questions (PC connectivtiy)

Hello people,

I'm totally new to this forum so bear with me. 🙂 I'm also not really fit with current mobile phone technology. 😕

So, I need a new phone (my current one is a T68i, yeah I know 🤭 ).

I've got a few technical questions:

1) Is there a "USB Disk" mode, so that I can use the phone as a USB flash card reader? I need this so it will work with Linux, and it's also important to be able to transfer files between the phone and Windows computers without needing to install drivers (which I wouldn't have the rights to do on most PCs I encounter on campus). (Clarification: I need the phone to work just like a USB stick)

2) Is there a limitation on the file size or track length of MP3 files used for ring tones? Will a ...

1. Yes the USB mas storage mode should work fine. If you have a memory card, the phone will act like a flash drive when plugged in.

2. You can have a 4 minute song on your phone, but it will only play for 30 seconds (or however long your phone ring...

US version available now with 1GB memory for $238

Unlocked ROKR Z6 with 1GB memory card available at the Motorola store. US version with warranty. Comes with app to setup T-Mobile and AT&T settings.

It's $279.99, but apply coupon code PASS_15287 for an additional 15% off and get it for $238. And there's free shipping. BTW, that coupon will work for any phone (with no new service activation) or accessory.

A big THANKS to raulr for the coupon code giving me a 15% discount on my new ROKR Z6. I can't wait to get it! THANKS AGAIN!!

rokr z6 availability

Supposedly unicel wireless is getting the rokr z6 gsm version in the next month as we got the dummies in and all the promotional material to boot.

So anyone think cingular will get it as well since they are a national carrier?

No OBEX? What the hell?!

It may as well go to Verizon!
According to the manufacturer's website, http://direct.motorola.com/Hellomoto/motorokr z6/, it supports FTP-server, and OPP, so yea, it should work.

And besides, it cannot ONLY support A2DP.

Downloading/uploading music onoto z6?

Is this phone really going to be so much easier to use and be able to use so many ways to get music onto the card as compared to other phones?

Initially I thought it was going to be an ITUNES phone but apparently not. I just was watching CNET.com and their view on it is that it will be easily used with Windows Media Player and so many other options.

Also, anyone know of when this is coming to Verizon and what the price might be? Was planning on getting the V9m but the price is still too high for me! Will this one be any lower?

Although it is possible AT&T will carry it, I bet you would be better off purchasing an unlocked one and avoid AT&T crippling it like the N95.

Verizon to get ROKR?

I have read that Verizon is supposed to be getting the ROKR Z6 (RIZR Z6)and was wondering if anyone knew if that is true? I have a friend who works for Verizon and he told me he hasn't heard anything about it, it was basically news to him. I just thought that odd, especially if it is apparently coming out in this quarter. 👀
The ROKR Z6m is the CDMA version.

However, Verizon will also get the RIZR Z6tv with - you guessed it - mobile TV. That might create enough overlap that they will only offer the Z6tv and the ROKR Z6m will go to Sprint, etc. I'm not sure.
I emailed motorola asking if there had been a release date set for the phone, and Verizon was going to carry it. Heres what they said.

"We are sorry to inform you that the ROKR Z6 is currently being offered
in international markets only. There i...

Speed

The reason the OS is so snappy and the Java benchmark performance may have something to do with the fact that the Z6 has a 612MHz processor. The outside may look like a Z3, but the inside is souped up from hardware to software.

so, is the Z6m that's coming to Sprint definitely not Java/Linux?

I'm getting a little fed up of sprint JUNK phones.
problem is, it's just SO cheap to have powervision.
i'm up to renew my contract in sept.
are there any Java/Linux motorola's (or anything else good) coming out for sprint ?
Eventually they will get the Linux-Java OS on 3G and CDMA EVDO phones. Software is just not ready yet. I'll guess by early next year.
well if you like Motorola and music phones, i would what till the razr2 comes out in sept.

Cost/Arrival/Sprint

Can someone tell me how much this will be, when it comes out, and if Sprint will carry it?
I believe so as ROKRZ6m. I've seen anywhere from July to September as the release unless anyone else knows anything more specific . . .

any word of a similar cdma version? 🤤
Yes, the ROKR Z6m is CDMA.

It's similar to the Z6, but adds a 3.5mm headphone jack, key lock switch, and external memory card slot.
