Texas Instruments Makes Cameraphones Brighter

I don't know how many of you go out to bars in NYC, but there is an amazing problem with people using those crazy bright camera phone flashes. In a dark bar they really are blinding - and it isn't just for a second. They stay on while the user lines up the shot etc. I can't believe these things are going to get even brighter. At least it sounds like the battery will die more quickly.

Does anyone else hate these camera phones with flashes?
