Manual roaming? Yeah right..

I have roamed on a couple carriers that SprintPCS has no roaming agreements for. Manual roaming? Can't do it.

I'd gladly punch my CC number into the prompt..if there was one.

Hopefully this study will prevent the smaller carriers from being locked out of roaming agreements, thus hurting their business.
they shouldn't charge so much to carriers for roaming! 👿

VZW?

I wonder if this is in regards to VZW, America's Choice II.

It is a NO Roaming plan, because the PRL tells your phone NOT TO SEE towers that you will be charged extra to use.

Thoughts . . . ?
I doubt it is just in regards to Verizon. Cingular and T-Mobile both offer the majority of their plans that have no roaming charges whatsoever.

Carriers are not supposed to be allowed to force your phone not to "see" other systems, when their's is not available... and that is exactly what Verizon is doing...

Why is this an issue? Cingular did this practice first and VZW followed after about a year.
