Nextel Won't Meet E911 Deadline

No big surprise

nextel can't even get their service to work in many Metro locations. St. Louis, MO for example is tatterd with pockets of no service for Nextel subscribers. If their phones can't even find the network, I wouldn't expect them to be able to find their phones!
Nextel has the same problem in Chicago, bad service!
Why must you guys constantly Bash Nextel. If you dislike the service then why not switch???

Granted in some respects Nextel is behind the times but in other respects Nextel is ahead. They've created a nice PTT Service, well Motorola did, that PLENT...

How long have cell companies had to get this taken care of, and when did they actually start doing something about it?

What companies have E911

I know that Sprint is obviously close to everybody having it, probably around 90% and Nextel is around 70%, but what about T-mobile, Verizon, and Cingular? Cingular has been working on it, but how far are they, and for that matter, T-mobile and Verizon?
