T-Mobile Says LTE Available Nationwide
Not to be rude, but this is flat out false
False. T-Mobile is stretching the truth again. Many areas in Delaware are GPRS. THink about that...GPRS! Not even EDGE.
I won't even comment on the LTE coverage since all the big 4 stretch the truth on LTE availability. Verizon claims a huge network, but I saw 1X and 3G just as often as LTE in the 5th largest city in America.
I root for T-Mobile as a credible alternative to the other guys, but when you mislead, stretch the truth and outright lie you deserve nothing.
LTE from AT&T
Edge from T-Mobile
LTE/3G from Sprint (Only get LTE when is a clear day)
Verizon it depends because its completely random from no service, 1X, 3G or LTE. Its very inconstant signal and quality from Verizon
My personal experience is that T-Mobile high speed coverage is spotty at best, even in large metropolitan areas like NYC. Integration with MetroPCS helps, but only if your in a covered area (and have a SIM with the MetroPCS networks enabled).
I get LTE in my office and at the theater I volunteer at regularly But at my house I am lucky to get EDGE, even though I am at the intersection of three major highways.
I'm on the fence-- my contract is up with AT&T and would like to migrate to T-Mobile because it will be less expensive in the long run. But inexpensive doesn't do much good if you don't have service.
One could factually claim nation wide coverage if they only had service in LA and New York.
Don't let your phone rage blind you to what is actually being said. You use a WIRELESS phone. you have to have realistic expectations. Before any Verizon or ATT fan boys jump on this while every carrier has there amazing coverage spot as a whole they have poor coverage in much of the united states. Don't believe me? take a trip to Wyoming or Montana you might also want to bring a flair gun i...

My AT&T phone is lucky to get two-three bars where I live now, but T-Mobile gets full five bars here. Oh no, AT&T is terrible?
Road trip from Atlanta to Auburn: my phone never dropped at least 4G, my girlfriend's T-Mobile phone consistently lost service or went to EDGE. T-Mobile is terrible?
Bunch of hooey is what it is. I like AT&T because it works where I need it, and that's that. Even with 1 bar at home, it still makes calls and texts.
Yeah, the problem is that they say because they WANT people to think it covers their entire network. This is an intentionally misleading statement. When you think about the average, abysmal level of reading comprehension, the vast majority of people are not going to read between the lines. Hence, the existence of this article. And yes, I have an issue with that.
Even on its 2G voice network, venture off major highways, service gets spotty. When I call and inquire as to when there might be build-out in certain areas, I get the same answer every time. Not in the budget.
More affordable service at the price of network reliability.
