That people who are in the market for a new device tend to buy the cheapest, rather than the most expensive?
Blackberry customers are not Apple customers, they don't like to spend more money than they need to just to show off how much money they have.

Absolutely Incredible
This company has been making solid garbage almost exclusively for the past 5 years (starting with the Storm.)
What's sad is they were among the first to get the smartphone 'right' - select a few features and make them work really well. In an era where a Windows Mobile phone would freeze and lock up mid-day or a Palm phone would require numerous hard resets, Blackberries simply always worked.
Now... sheesh. I guess it's testament to their reputation that they were able to survive this long, but they don't make a single competitive product- and haven't for years.
(My favorite line from their advertising is "We need tools not toys" in response to the iPhone, which is pretty ballsy when your signature email product keeps suf...

T-Mobile's retail of the Z10 is $531.99, based on total losses by BB of $950 million, that equals out to be 1.75 Million unsold phones.
Why would they manufacture so many? Wouldn't it make more sence to be slightly late to the game than jump the gun? Seems like they dug their own grave to me.

Blackberry has been dead for years now... The "late" 10 platform was simply a nail in the coffin. One poster here is right they emphasized the enterprise market for too long while others took advantage of the consumer market, most people ive worked ...
