Somebody has to finance this, right? So who, the taxpayers?

Truthfully.. yeah the taxpayers are probably paying for this... Just like the phone plans from Assurance Wireless or the "Obama Phones"... Taxpayers and additonal charges on your existing cell phone and landline lines. Such as the Federal Access Char...

MANY users will "pay" for more. the profits from those users will more than make up for the few that stick with the "free only" option.
