WTF!

Only available on ipad, what about my iphone!

Got my hopes up for nothing!

I can text from my pc at work but can not get incoming messages.
PC? I don't use a "PC" anymore,... this is the year 2013>>>,...I use a smartphone!
...
Wait.....what?

iPhones can already send and receive text messages, you don't anything special to do that....
as usual, BlackBerry users are left out in the cold.

who cares

I've been doing this for years with google voice. Nice to see one of the big 4 trying to catch up, but I use google voice to supersede most of their offerings anyway.

What I have learned so far

Well after going home and playing with this I found a few bugs.

For certain it does have the ability to send text messages with 100% arrival rate.

I had my gf saved as a contact on my iphone and when using the messenger on a pc I was not able to receive her responses. When I removed her from my contact list her messages started coming in. Then stopped after about 12 messages I received.

This is not needed for customers who text, it is simply verizon trying to help you get all your text messages on your device, So if you have a Nexus7 tablet you can still text from it via the Verizon Messenger App.
