Sprint's LTE Goes Live in Nine New Markets

No New York?

Is there some kind of logistic roadblock that keeps Sprint from launching its LTE in NY? Why are all these small cities getting it, while a major city like NY is stuck with crappy 3g speeds?
It's actually been showing up in NYC, just look at Sensorly maps, i'd bet that it's just not 30% complete yet for them to call it launched.

I know online there have been several people that have been reporting seeing it, it's just spotty.

Yes. It's called size and population density. It takes longer to upgrade a city like New York, with millions of people and lots of tall skyscrapers than smaller cities.

Sprint has a strong footing in Puerto Rico, huh?
No other carriers care about Puerto Rico?
Then the other carriers must not care about the borough of the Bronx in New York City.

AT&T has over 50% of the island covered in LTE. Doesn't look like Verizon has any real coverage, though. Just some 1x, no LTE.

Sidenote... you'd think they'd make it easier to find their coverage map and work it. It's a pain to just scroll around ...

T-Mobile has an hspa+ 42 network in Puerto Rico... no idea about the other carriers.
