Reminders for Calendar Events........

Anyone (other than me) have trouble with them not working all the time? I'll reboot the phone and things will seem OK - but I'm basically using this as my only reminder - this puppy doesn't ring - I'll probably miss an appointment at some point.

(I THINK I have V2)

TIA!

faceoff
No, I set my scheduler reminders all the time and it never fails to remind me of anything. Maybe your not setting or saving your events the right way or something? And our 9800 is just called the V.

problems with putting music on the v

i just got the v off ebay. just got it today. i used to have a moto krzr and hated it.

with the krzr, i was able to copy music onto my mini sd card and it would load in the my music section as long as the filenames were less than 32 characters long.

i thought that this would also work for the v but it doesn't. can someone help me

i tried using the vcast music manager and the phone and software won't connect. maybe i could get some help with that too.

Automatically Locking Phone, Possible??

Is it possible to have the phone automatically lock itself? I am not just talking about the keylock, but the password lock? Is there a way to get it so it will lock the phone after a few seconds/minutes of non-activity?
I guess what I am asking for is can you PASSWORD protect this phone automatically after a few seconds like the keylock does?

Uploading Videos To CPU

I purchased a cable that connects my phone through the USB Port of my notebook.. but for whatever odd reason I'm still having problems troubleshooting how to retrieve my videos from the phone onto the computer.

Can anyone be of assistance?

Appreesh!!!

The best way I have found is to just save all your vids on a memory card. I have the 1GB card and then transfer the vids over that way. Other than that, you can try emailing them from the phone to any email address that doesn't block multimedia atta...

if you don't have a data cable to hook up to your computer, you can still get free ringtones by making a free account on phonezoo.com the ones with out the copyright C are the ones you can use.

Power on question

I keep my LG 9800 in my car, plugged into the cigarette lighter. When I leave it for more than a few hours, the phone powers itself off and I have to remember to turn it on again when I start the car. Is there any way to set the phone so that the power stays on all the time?

Missed Call tone

Hi - I've read through the forums and I haven't seen this question asked yet and cannot find the answer in the manual..
HOW can I turn off the tone that rings when I miss a call. (I believe it's called "ringtone 6".) There is no option for it under sounds and it seems like it's an automatic thing and doesn't have a option to either change it, or turn it off completely.. help. Thanks.

Bluetooth headsets

Ok right now I own the Motorola HS 850 headset which is good but is huge. I think my friend might be interested in buying it and i'm definitely trying to sell it because i'd like to buy another headset but can't see owning 2 working headsets at once. I want to know everyones opinion here as to which headset they think is the smallest and best bang for the buck as far as price, quality, battery life, and signal strength are concerned. I'd also like the feature of the flip out boom so i can transfer from a conversation from the phone to my headset during a phone call. I also want the ease of operation like the 850 has. Any recommendations? I know about the website pricegrabber.com and have been looking at the Samsung wep- 200.and other various...

need hard copies of txt msgs - with full header VX9800

Hi All,

I really, really really need to get a few txt messages off my phone onto my computer.

I need to be able to prove the messages are real, and having a hardcopy with full header info - who sent when - is critical.

I called VZW (my phone is locked to them) and they said they don't provide hard copies of text messages.

I am willing to hack the phone senseless to get these messages.

Is it doable with BitPIM? Will there be heavy handed hexing involved?

I appreciate any help anyone is willing to offer, im a total noob at this phone hacking stuff but these texts are CRITICAL for future reference .... thanks.
you can just foward the message to your email account

Charging battery

Hi all, it's been a long time since I posted on this forum. I've got a question about charging the battery both standard and extended for the phone. I know that the batteries are Lithium Ion Polymer which means that it is safe for you to charge them over night but if i do charge my batteries overnight very frequently, will that still burn out the cells in the battery? I know that for most Verizon phone batteries they only have LIthium ION which means that you shouldn't charge the battery overnight but i thought that our batteries were different in that aspect. How long does everyone here charge their phone batteries for? Thanks in advance for the responses.
