nokia phone

This is the worse phone that I have ever owned! It will NOT stay charged at all. Have had 2 batteries so far, both do the very same thing. Not user friendly at all. I will NEVER EVER own another windows phone! I also purchased the "fat boy" charger from Verizon and it takes hours and hours for this phone to charge on it! For all of you out there that are thinking about getting this phone.....please listen up! Do not waste your time or your money, it's so not worth it!

missed call alert

Anyone know how to turn off the loud 3 beep alert that sounds if you miss a call? I have the phone on vibrate only, and also no vibrate or sound, but it still beeps after a missed call (very annoying when in a meeting or at movies). There does not seem to be a setting for this.

Voice Phone

I miss the time when you could just pick a Nokia smart-phone when you were looking for an excellent voice device.
Recently; several Nokia smart-phones have been reviewed as so-so voice phones; while I remember that Symbian phones had rock-solid voice call performance.
I don't know the reason of this.
It may be the windows phone platform or Nokia trying to make the devices more data-focused.

Just Bought One

I just picked the 822 up on Thursday from Verizon. If iPhone and Android had a child, it would be Windows Phone. Simply the best experience os any mobile OS in my experience.

I can honestly say that this is the best Windows 8 phone out there. It may not be the flagship of the line, but I still prefer its size, power and flexibility.
First off, the unit is very comforatble to pocket and hold onto during calls. The removeable battery and SD card are a huge bonus. Wireless charging is built into the back cover so all I need is the charging base. Even though phones keep getting bigger and thinner, I think that less is more in this case.
The screen is beautiful, bright and crisp. The phone is responsive as Windows Phone always is. Boot ups a...

Great alternative

I may be in the minority but I am actually looking forward to this over the HTC 8X with Verizon.
I've seen the 8X and 820 at at@t and I like this series more. I'm not crazy about the bright colors and lack of tactile buttons with the 8X. The fact that this has a memory card slot and removeable battery makes this a winner for me.
The specs may not be the reason why this phone won't sell. It's hideous looking.
