Create contact groups

Can I create fairly large (100+) Contact groups on the Galaxy, and even more important, how do I restore them if lost?

Now $49 at Radio Shack ....

.... with a new 2 year agreement. ½ the price of the Verizon stores.

That's for the 16GB model of course.

ADOBE FLASH PLAYER

I have the galaxy s3 phone. I am unable to download adobe flash player. I checked with verizon and they said that adobe is not compatable with the jelly bean operating system. Does anyone know if this is being worked on or of another app which would allow me to watch cams. I like to watch Ports or others. Any advise would be great. My last lesser phone droid charge allowed me to download the app thru the play store.
X2. I am unable to open a lot of things because of this.

i cant use the camera while in a call but my friend has the AT&T S3 and can use the camera. do i have a defective unit?
I can't use mine while on a call either. Might be a network thing.
I can't either, on US Cellular, but if you download a third party app those seem to work.

What kind of case are u using?

Im in the market for a case for my blue s3... looking for one that will protect the whole phone itself, like a "360" case.. at the same time hopefully it can help the screen from cracking if it lands face down on rocks, since i work near lots and lots of rocks and pebbles.

What are u guys using? any suggestions on a rugged case?
I am using the flip case from Verizon it's a regular battery cover with a flap on it does not add bulk protects the phone all the around does not add weight comes in white and blue.
The Shell / Holster Combo with Kickstand. Gives the phone a nice grip feel while providing front & back protection. Best option out there.

I have been an otterbox fan , but they are having issues with the G3 defender cases, so I found this company/case.

Now that we have GSM is it SIM unlocked? What about US networks?

Has anyone put an AT&T micro sim in their updated G3? Did it accept the SIM, did it register on AT&T? How about Tmobile? Does it support HSPA?

Just Downloaded

It was very easy to update. Noticed keyboard is a little different. Browser changed as well as camera. I like the still photo capability during video mode. So far I like.

Congrats....?

Ouch i'd be sad if i bought this phone on verizon.... I mean Sprint, AT&T, and Even T-mobile is possible to get this upgrade a while ago.. Doesn't Verizon charge that "premium" service charge to their users for the "premium" service's they offer?
*snickers*
I still don't understand how complicated it is to update phones all at the same time. Wouldn't it be some code to alter for said carrier and then all is done? Hell, iOS updates are all done at the same time, no delays waiting for Verizon to get their ...

BREAKING NEWS! Amazon Selling This Phone for $99!

$149 on an upgrade.

http://wireless.amazon.com/Samsung-Galaxy-Android-Ve ... »

Having got one at a local VZW store last week and having my account charged the $199 Verizon's getting, I called customer service last night and sure enough, VERIZON matched it with a service credit.

Seems like Verizon is interested in keeping customers after all.
If your within the 14 day return time, VZW should credit you.
Even if your within 30 days, they should but may try to scum you.

Good for you, its nice to get those credits, more money for more gear, wooo hoo !
I'm actually thinking about this device.

16 to 32

In my Galaxy S3 16, I have two SD cards. The larger is the internal memory and the smaller is RAM I think. So does this mean I can change both? One (the larger) from 16 to 32 and the smaller from 2 to whatever?

Thanks in advance.
No you don't have two sd cards. You have internal memmory that is built in that can not be changed, if you bought the 16gbmodelmyou are stuck with that. You have 2gb of ram(random acces memmory I believe) and its built in and can not be changed. It's ...

Jerky video playback

Looking for some help. When I shoot video in 1080p with my GS3 and then play it back (view it on the phone) it's crystal clear, but plays very jerky. It's very irritating. I have a new SanDisk class 10 high-speed micro SD card so I doubt that's the problem. Any ideas?
I've found this is an issue with most 1080p video. The flip camera and other dedicated HD recorders have a similar issue at 1080p. I've asked others about this and apparently most people don't notice, but certain people are more sensitive to visual is...

excessive heat to the battery

This might sound like a stupid question but here it goes anyway, If my Galaxy S3's battery was over heating a bit today in the car by GPS'ing and charging at the same time (for the 1st time my phone said phone wouldn't charge due to battery too hot) would that drain my battery quicker or faster than normal? Thanks for any info! It seems like it would to me, however I'd like to know for sure obviously.

GPS Symbol staying on

Hi everyone,

I have a Verizon 32 gig white Galaxy S3 and I absolutely love it. The only thing in question is my GPS Symbol in the top left hand corner of my notification screen will sometimes constantly stay on for a while without automatically turning itself off (switching back to the regular target looking symbol). It doesn't seem as though this is draining my battery exponentially, however it is weird/annoying. It happens every so often. What I have done so far to try and remedy the problem is go into settings, application manager, all applications, and disabled all of the factory stock Samsung framework applications and Kias/Samsung cloud syncing apps. At first, I thought that had fixed the issue, but then the same thing happened this...

What is going on???

Ive gone to ATT& tmobile and they have no idea when there getting galaxy. All I want to do is hold it before I order from verizon. I think I might just get iPhone. I'm at the end of my rope.
That's a great idea...

You go ahead and get youself an iPhone... then you can go discuss Siri and non-replaceable batteries on all the " i-i-i-i-i-i " forums...

I'm sure you'll be very happy... 😁

An annoying drawback of this phone (true for all carriers)

What is it with these new phones lacking an HDMI port?

My HTC phones and Motorola phones had one. Even my year old Samsung Droid has one.

On the Galaxy S III (like the Galaxy S II) they require a dongle to convert Micro USB, and then you need a special one so that you can power the phone because you used the port. Even more annoying is that the part is expensive, and they changed it for this particular model, so none of the ones that worked with the other Galaxy phones work on this one.

Even the dock lacks an HDMI port. I guess if you want to compete with Apple you have to constantly require new proprietary dongles to make you stuff work with industry standard cables like Apple does. Perhaps the Galaxy S IV will h...

review by joymrt03

It is a constant source of amazement when I read a bad review of a phone which all the reasons for rating the phone badly are items that are listed in the specs or mentioned in other forums. Things like size of phone, pentile screen, etc. Sounds like an apple fan boy that drank the Kool Ade.
I saw that too...that review should be deleted.
Agreed. These types of reviews are most likely submitted by people that just want to trash the phone from the beginning. Probably don't even own one.
They have reviewed 24 phones since joining Phonescoop. Whatever, Apple fanboy.

samsung galaxy s3 out of service issue

From time to time, I could not make phone calls with my samsung galaxy s3. The phone would display "out of service area" with "no SIM" on top of the screen. However, I had a HTC incredible 2 prior to this phone and it never had this problem. I am just wondering if anyone has the same issue as mine..
Never so far in the past week I've had it for either of those two error msgs. Only strange msg I do however get is backup assistant plus backing up notification on top, even though it's turned off.

Verizon called me to apologize for the bad info on the phone!

Re: Flip 69's 'in poor taste' post of my review...

Verizon called me to clear things up and apologize for the bad information regarding the brightness issue and is overnighting me a new Samsung Galaxy S3 and keeping in place my unlimited data plan.

The review that I posted was due to Verizon's and Samsung's tech departments NOT-KNOWING their phone and the local Verizon tech not looking through the settings properly to find the 'fix' that's there all along.

Now that this is done, hope everyone, including me, enjoys their G-S3!

When will GSM be enabled and what about 3G data?

Anyone have an idea when GSM will be enabled on this phone and what kind of 3G data (for non-US carriers) will be available with it?
No one knows the date when Verizon will unlock Global Roaming yet. I put a SIM are in from Spain and can verify that it does not currently work.
