Stylish phone cases are limited

Hey guys,

Newbie here.
😁
Have had my EnV for 3 months or so. I am having a hard time finding stylish cases (not face plates) for this phone. Everything out there that fits seems to be basic black. Maybe it's because this phone is larger than most, I dunno.

Any suggestions for cool phone cases?

Thanks a bunch,
Sann
well as you've probably figured, the only thing i can tell you are those black leather padded side pouches that both Verizon sells and that you can buy from LG Direct. That's what I did and mine has lasted for a whiel It looks a bit worn, but other t...

I just use the invisible shield screen cover for my iPhone 5, but the cool accessory I use is called Flygrip. It attaches to any size phone and helps you hold it with one hand much easier without worrying about dropping it on the go.

Phone powering down to prevent battery overheat

Hi all. My Env (with verizon) just recently started saying "Phone powering down to prevent battery overheat" and it shuts off, when I restart it, it tells me it had to shut down for that reason and it will run for about 30 seconds before it shuts off again. It does this every single time I use it. I've used 2 different batteries and it still does it.

I dont recall it being exposed to extreme heat (not even over 90 degrees in my pocket) So I don't know how or why this is could be happening. The phone was running off of just the charger, so i figured it must have been the battery, but now its not even doing that. I really don't want to have to claim this on my insurance because its $50 to do so, which I dont have to spare, it cost me $80 t...

Quick update.....I sprayed inside the charging port and inside the battery compartment down one of the air-duster cans and the phone seems to be working. Regardless I think I should get a replacement. But is there a reason why the air might have fixed...

digital clock on front

I've got my inside clock set to digital, but can't find a way to officially set my outside clock to a digital format.

Depite this, when my phone is on the charger, the outside clock shows in digital format.

How can I set the outside clock to digital format when it's off of the charger? It's obviously capapable of displaying such.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!
If you mean the actual "digital" format (as available for the inner clock) rather than normal format or analog, it's not available for the outer clock.

I've never seen the clock change format when on a charger except if there is a problem with th...

Maximum File Number Reached

I've got the LG 9900 - enV and can't store any more pictures.

I get the message below on the phone when trying to save pictures, other files such as music or movies save to the card fine.

Maximum File Number Reached

It lists 1501 pictures while the 4 GB SDHC card is in the phone and 1508 files if I look at the card in Explorer.

All of the pictures are located under the my_pix folder.

I backed the card up, reformatted it and restored the items and the same thing happens.

There is only about 800MB used on a 4 GB card so it is not a space issue.

Any Ideas???

Need help with LG headphones for this phone...

Ok, so I bought a pair of Verizon LG headphones, and it came with an adapter that also functions as a headset. It looks like this:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=829210 ... »

But recently, the headphones that came with it stopped working 😢 so I plugged another pair of headphones in it through the adapter, but they didn't work! I couldn't hear any sound! So I tried it with some others. Nothing! I was thinking about buying a new pair of earbuds for it, but can someone please tell me what's wrong with it or if I just need a brand new pair of earphones for the adapter. Thanks!

one forum said "open up the phone and dial ##program9900 or (sym) 3, (sym) 3, p,r,o,g,r,a,m,9,9,0,0 "

I've had luck with opening the phone and typing ##77647269900

VX 9900 freeze-ups

I have had the lg envy for about 6 months. During that period it has frozen up about 4 or 5 times. I get the verizon logo and nothing else. Once I remove the battery and then replace it, it works fine. I took it to Verizon and had some type of a software update done. After that, I still get the freezing. Any suggestions?

Thank You
Eric

faceplate removal

Hello all,
Well it seems I have dust under the screen on the front of the ENV.
I have searched google but came out with nothing regarding instructions to removing the faceplate on the ENV phone.

Anyone know how to do it, or have a link to somewhere that will have instructions so I can take it off and blow out the dust?

Thanks!
I'd be careful with thtat... you'll void the warrenty... why don't you take it to a tachnician?

anyone selling their env?

I had one of these last year and stupidly sold it to go back to a flip phone. well, i text a lot more now and want to buy an env again, but would rather not pay full retail at 329.99...so if anyone is selling for 150 or less that would be great. I've looked at ebay and may do that, but thought i'd check here too..thanks!
Hi, Rachael,

I have an orange enV linked to Verizon Wireless that I am considering selling. It has been used extremely little since I only use my phone for carrying along for emergencies. The phone was purchased new in February 2008. The phone has ...

Rhapsody-To-Go + enV?

Does anyone know if there's any way to get the new Rhapsody-To-Go service on the enV?

This paragraph from the press release indicates that some phones will be able to get a software upgrade for it:

V CAST Music with Rhapsody will be available on the marquee V CAST Music with Rhapsody device, the Chocolate 3 by LG, when the phone becomes available in July; the service is also available today on select phones, including the LG Decoy┞¢ and LG Dare; MOTO┞¢ W755; Samsung SCH-u550, Samsung Glyde┞¢ and Samsung Juke. Customers using the MOTORIZR Z6tv, MOTORAZR² V9m or LG VX8700 may bring their phones into a Verizon Wireless Communications Store to receive a free software upgrade on their phones to access the service. turn off annoying sounds?

OK, I have looked through the phone menus, this forum, and the manual, and cannot figure this out. Help me!
My phone sounds the most annoying alarm sound ever whenever I miss a call AND when I get a voicemail. It's really loud and earsplitting - and unnecessary. My phone just RANG - I know I missed a call. Even if I turn the ringtone to silent, it will make this awful sound once the call is missed, and then again when the voicemail comes in.
I have a job where I have to have it on pretty much all the time, but if I'm with a client, I either want it silent or want to ignore it unless it's the office calling. But then it makes all of these awful follow-up sounds. All of my "alert sounds" are set to off and "call sounds" turns the rin...
