Does AT&T not know who to pay off?

Seems like the FCC really doesn't like them. Maybe they should've donated more to Barry's reelection fund.
When at&t was a (government approved and established) monopoly the FCC and organizations like Consumer Reports et al really hated at&t, perhaps for good reason as far as I know, but they've never really gotten past their old bitterness and are still h...

Yes, it sucks, but...

...How is this policy anywhere near as bad as Verizon's policy of not letting people with unlimited plans get subsidized phones? Verizon has all but forced its customers off of older unlimited plans onto mobile share plans by making them pay full price for phones, while AT&T's only move has been to deny them FaceTime over cellular. Yet I didn't see Verizon get torn apart by the internet with nearly as much vitriol.
Verizon's choice doesn't affect how the device functions. Either way, both are screwing their customers over, especially with the plan options.
you almost say that is if to say "customers have a right to discounted phones" Eh?

Just Charge OVERAGE's PROFIT!!!!

On a "metered plan", let you customers have facetime over cellular network but charge the overage... Facetime is a manufacturer installed application that uses data and why does big blue care HOW the data is being used and long as it is being paid for..

If you use Netflix, YouTube, Vonage, Skype or Pandora you have to be charged overage what makes this any difference...

I hate AT&T anyway and this kind of d*** move is right up their ally.
The open secret of the mobile industry is that no one ever actually pays overage charges.....they call....whine, throw a tantrum, get a lecture about responsible usage, and then the overage is waived.....that's the way it, no there is no p...
I work for AT&T and I whole heartedly agree.... The blocking of the facetime over cellular doesn't make any sense...... Verizon will force you to move your plans, AT&T says it is going to be the good guys and tells you that they are not going to chang...
