Will this have Google Wallet?

If so, I'm in...
Only Sprint phones and unlocked phones can use Google Wallet.

The AT&T version should - in theory - support ISIS when it launches, although there's no guarantee.

No WEP acceptance

Has anyone noticed this phone cannot connect via WiFi to a WEP secured network?

Is there a an update fix soon?
It's the phone's way of telling you you should be using WPA. 🙂

Question about the bootloader

I plan on picking up a SIM-unlocked GSM phone for use with T-Mobile. Now, the bootloader is not going to be unlockable on the One X, but I saw someone say that if you don't get the AT&T version, it will be unlockable. My question is: what exactly constitutes a One X that isn't that AT&T version? I mean, if I were to buy a SIM-unlocked One X, couldn't it have been an AT&T version that someone unlocked the SIM on, and thus I wouldn't be able to unlock the bootloader? Is there a SIM-unlocked One X that I can use in the US and also unlock the bootloader?

I hope my question makes sense, let me know if I need to clarify.
I can't say for sure, but there definitely are two versions of this phone. One is unlocked and has a bigger, but not necessarily faster processor. It just uses up more battery.

Also, my last phone was an unlocked Galaxy S 4g I put on T-mobile. Afte...

What, you guys aren't interested in HTC's best phone?

Discuss!
Personally I can't wait for it to come to Big Red; by Aug I'll be ready to retire my venerable DINC1 and this looks like the perfect go-to. As for the complaining about customization, that's fine with me. HTC/Android seem to be approaching BB in ter...

It looks nice enough but I'd be MUCH more inclined to buy it if HTC offered a Nexus like pure android option.

It should be a menu option.

lol I like it but it's on the wrong carriers. Belongs on Big Red. Geeks don't like it cause they're either waiting for an S4 with the faster Adreno GPU or they're waiting for the Galaxy ...

I wouldn't use the word "best" to describe any product that has a NON-removable battery! And I really, really hope Samsung doesn't make the same mistake when the Galaxy S3 is announced Thursday at 11am Pacific time!!! I *use* my smartphone, and like t...

AT&T not getting the full potential!!!

👿

so regarding this phone.

set release date is the beginning of April 2012.

i have read on numerous sites that this phone is a quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. which would be great if it was released just as such. However, AT&T customers will be getting half that. Yes, we will be getting Dual core processing and not Quad core.

why would you cut us short AT&T??? Why!
Dual core S4 MSM8960 is actually faster (as a CPU) than Quad core Tegra 3...
Geforce is of course a better GPU than Adreno (by little)
The real deal with these chipsets is the battery life.
Nvidia's is 40nm and Qualcomm's is 28. Even though Nvidia...

They don't have a choice. Nvidia's Tegra chip (the quad-core one) doesn't support LTE.

The best LTE-compatible chip at the moment is the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4. So that's what HTC is putting in the AT&T version. It's very fastest chip anyone can po...

HTC Flagship device for 2012?

That's a pretty bold statement.

You're pretty much saying that For this Entire Year after this phone is released, HTC will not release a single phone with better Specs.

I really, really doubt the One X will be HTC Flagship phone for this entire year. No, sorry, It won't be. HTC won't shoot themselves in the foot like that.

Sealed Battery?

thought i heard you say that the battery is sealed? is that correct? it's not really an issue. was just making sure that was correct. although i would say w/my current htc phone, i do have to pull the battery to get it from locking up at times. hopefully there is some sort of master reset on this. it does look quite impressive. i am up for new phone next month, hopefully it will be available then... any idea when it will be released?

Does Anyone Know?

Does anyone know what the release date is supposed to be for this? I'm debating whether I should wait for it or just go with the Samsung Note. 😕
I currently have the Inspire and I love it! But I'm definitely ready for an upgrade.
Wait a little bit. HTC are generally better built devices, and for sure the HTC one X, while big, will be a lot more pocket-able than the Note.
as of right now, from the MWC 2012 in Barcelona, this phone is slated for a April 2012 release.

comparing this phone to the Samsung Galaxy Note, this phone is bite sized that packs a punch.

i am currently looking into upgrading my wife's pho...

Tegra 3?

International version has a 4 (+1) Core Nvidia Tegra 3 ...
Dual core MSM8960 working at 100% is faster than tegra 3 as a CPU (by a bit more than a bit).
Qualcomm's dual core is insanely fast!
As for the graphics of course Nvidia is better (the same, by a bit more than a bit).
They are almost on par despite the number of cores.
Yet have to test the battery life for both "One X .
Nvidia's is 40nm and Qualcomm's is 28. Even though, Tegra3 idles at lower power as it does whith light tasks. Draws more than the Snapdragon when working at full capacity.
This bases on synthetic benchmarks though.
I can't wait for phonescoop's review. Better if they test both devices.
Well, I wouldn't say HTC has a fail on this, but, Samsung managed to get its exynos cpu to cooperate with LTE. Which means to me, sgs III for me.
