This is just plain old BS

The FCC is completely wrong in this case. If the GPS industry made the mistake then they need to pony up and fix it.

They need to replace every device out there that could potentially cause issues and stay within their designated spectrum band and not bleed over.
GPS devices do not interfere with the LS spectrum.
LS tried to use spectrum that was designated for Extraterrestrial use from terresterial based transmitters.

They could not control the bleed over.

They tried, it didn't work.

Is this yet another confused person who has gotten the ridiculous idea that GPS receivers are (a) transmitting on non-GPS bands, and (b) transmitting AT ALL?

Who is sticking this idea in their heads?
