They are doing the right thing. Let's get everyone off 3G so they can use that spectrum for 4G. I hope they don't get rid of 1X for voice because that could be bad.

How many outages have there been lately? I know, I know, it's to be expected. Never the less it doesn't inspire confidence in consumers if you want them to switch to 4G. Especially if VZW is talking about going voice over LTE.
Second, battery life, battery life...remember when there weren't extended batteries? Oh the horror, what'd we do back then!?! 😳
And I think if tiered data plans have done one thing it's made consumers realize..."Hey, I don't need gobs and gobs of data." I think AT&T has even come out lately and said the majority of consumers don't even come close to using 5GB a month.

Just because you have an LTE phone doesn't mean you have to use LTE all the time, if the LTE is 'wonky' or it hurts battery life, you can turn it off and use LTE only when you need it.
