Sprint Adds Baltimore and Kansas City to List of LTE Markets

Sprint today announced the addition of Baltimore and Kansas City to the list of markets that will be among the first to access its forthcoming Long Term Evolution 4G network. In addition to launching LTE, Sprint will also enhance the 3G network in those markets. Sprint expects to launch LTE in Baltimore and Kansas City by the middle of 2012. Sprint is also launching LTE mid-year in Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio.

surprised Sprint isnt referring to this as 5G

remember when nonsavvy customers thought wiMax was truly 4G....
Well, if you want to get technical, nobody has anything that's "truly" 4G in the United States.

Baltimore is no surprise

Baltimore was one of the original launch cities for WiMax wayyy back.
